PROFILE & HISTORY

CSE English school is an established popular language school in Negombo with over 24 years experience in providing English language courses and teacher training programmes.

Our students enjoy learning in well equipped, cleaned and spacious classrooms with professional teachers.

Variety of courses (Edexcel, Cambridge, IELTS, Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) Cambridge English courses for schools ) are offered here and we are working together with IDP preparing students for IELTS examinations.

Our Experience

Teachers are the greatest asset at our education centre. They are well qualified and experienced professionals with many years of teaching experience. In fact our teachers have experience in teaching overseas schools, local and international schools.
Many years of teaching and assessing learners have made them talented teachers who actually do not just teach but live in it!

Our Recruitment Process

A teaching position is available for a teacher for junior classes

Requirements;

Should have an excellent command of English
Should have at least TKT qualification (module 1, 2, 3 completed) with minimum band of level 3
Should be hardworking and be prepared to work with other senior teachers
Prior teaching experience will be an added qualification

Our Teachers and Trainers

Teaching English as an international language has always been enjoyable for me. I taught English to students from all over the world while I was teaching at EF International Language Schools, Cambridge, United Kingdom. It is very interesting to see how students progress ‘discovering’ how English grammar rules work compared to their own languages. Cambridge School of English has similar courses of study with quality teaching, and course materials used in international language schools all over the world. It is interesting to see how different age groups from different backgrounds share their experiences when engage in different speaking activities using these latest course materials.

There are many reasons for teaching English to be enjoyable. Firstly, I feel teaching is a rewarding job. Secondly, the progress students start making after the first two weeks makes me realise how unique every individual learner is. At CSE Negombo, students get a real language learning experience as school has wide opened its doors for modern language teaching and learning environment focussing more on communication in English. Students get an excellent opportunity to practise their communicative skills in the classroom.

First and foremost I like teaching English, as I have always been interested in learning languages. It is also very rewarding to experience students progressing and achieving their own natural potential. I like being with students from different age groups and from different socio economic backgrounds as they all have one aim; to be competent in communicating in English. Working at CSE, Negombo is enjoyable and interesting as classroom environment is pleasing and the resources available always motivate both teacher and learner to engage in teaching learning process more actively.
